The rear horizontal bar removes by sliding it upwards out of it's attachment tubes. Once the horizontal bar is removed you can stand up and walk off the tail gate with ease. The engine builder "Empire engines" has been in business for 27 years. The truck goes back to the shop 6-23-17 to adjust the valve clearance as part of engine break in maintenance.
