Classic 1987 Honda VT1100 This bike is the Harley Davidson Wide Glide lookalike. Pretty candy wine-berry red with only 23.6K miles before I tried riding it onto a trailer and it bottomed out just enough to break a small piece of the crankcase (part of the oil filter housing) All of the oil dumped out and the bike was shut down and stored (covered) during the winter. I decided to try to J B Weld the small piece back on and it worked during warm-up, however when I took it out after a few minutes the crankcase piece fell off and it dumped the oil again and was pushed back home and recovered. The shop I use has dealer commitments until early June so if the bike sells, okay; if not, it will go to the shop when I get the call that they can take it. This is a nice bike and fast with low miles, a cheap fix for someone that is a motorcycle mechanic or knows one. only other issue is the rear brakes could use adjusting. Bike remains covered with a fabric motorcycle cover since the incident, only uncovered to check JB Weld repair and for these photos THE LAST TWO PICS ADDED SHOW THE DAMAGE.
