Vehicle Detail
This is a 1973 Honda CB500 which was completely refurbished at Steel Bent Customs shop in Florida in 2014. It has been ridden fewer than 100 miles since being refurbished and runs great. It has new tires, controls, starter, exhaust, wiring, carburetor components, and seat. The engine and transmission have been custom powder coated black. The bike is four cylinders, with four carbs. It is street legal with automatic start and a kick lever. It has a one down, four up gear pattern. The exhaust sound is moderate, definitely not quiet but won't blow away your neighbors either. Issues: the battery runs low quickly if left in the garage unridden. The carb drain screws may leak slightly due to needing new O rings. The back tire is extremely fat and may rub against the frame if a passenger is riding on the bike. There are some rust spots on non-anodized parts, but no major critical areas. Overall, this is a vintage bike and requires extra care due to age. Don't bid unless you have a garage with tools, maintenance know-how, or at the very least a friend who can show you how to keep her running. For additional photos, head over to the Steel Bent Customs website and check out the "deadbeat" model. I love this bike and it runs great, but I'm moving and won't have space to store it. I'm selling it for way less than I have in it, as it's a custom build and is one-of-a-kind. Will send video or additional photos to anyone interested.
