Offering up for auction is a 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396 Tribute Car. This Gem has a little over 3000 miles on a full body off frame restoration that took nearly two years to complete. The 396/350 HP engine runs like new and as you would expect pulls this full bodied Chevrolet quite well. Backed by a 350 turbo Automatic transmission with a 2500 rpm stull torque converter the power transfer is smooth and dependable. For more strength and durability the standard 12 bolt GM rear end has been replaced with a much stronger and more versatile 9" ford rear equipped with ladder bars for better traction. As with all properly done frame off restorations, any and all weathered body panels were professionally replaced with new before spraying the beautiful Summit White paint to this timeless classic. All new interior fully reflects the SS 396 that this Chevelle is a tribute to. Power steering as well as front disc brakes have been added. Equipped with American Racing polished custom rims with B.F.Goodrich rubber make this classic ride as well or better than it did the day it rolled out of Detroit. New bumpers front and rear show off the classic lines and chrome that was a mainstay during the era of Detroit muscle.
