Vehicle Detail

1968 AMC AMX, 390 CI, 4 Barrel, Engine with Factory Air Conditioning. I have a clear title in my name. This AMX is a number matching, dry western, car. It has a solid body with only minor surface rust. I've taken photos of the floors, front and rear - as well as photos from underneath the car. I purchased the AMX as a restoration project and have collected an extra fender, door, passenger's side rear quarter panel, and several small parts in preparation for the restoration. The engine has not been started for several years, but turns freely and appears to have good compression. I don't want to oversell the AMX and the reserve on the car is well under its value. It needs to be restored, but it has the correct engine, a corrosion free body, and is highly optioned with air conditioning. Please look closely at all of the photos. The passenger's side rear quarter panel has a dent. I think it can be corrected with body work, but a complete passenger's side rear quarter comes with the car. All of the glass is good, but the windshield has a crack. There is a smaller dent on the driver's side rear which will need to be corrected before re-installing the taillight. The front bumper is not dented, but the chrome is shot. Again, please look closely at the photos. The history of AMC's AMX is interesting. AMC wanted to compete against GMC's Corvette. This small, two bucket seat, coupe was their answer. The 1968 AMX, 390 CI, 4 Barrel Carbureted car was there entry vehicle into the muscle car arena. This highly optioned AMX is a worthwhile restoration project. I will gladly assist the shipper you select in shipping the AMX anywhere in the world. I'm not a car dealer. I just have too many projects and I can't afford to restore the AMX. If you have fewer than 5 positive feedback on Ebay, please message me or give me a call before bidding. My name is Bob and my phone number is (801) 745-5835. Good luck bidding, and hope the AMX finds a good home.On May-25-17 at 07:55:41 PDT, seller added the following information: Bay members, bidding on my AMX, have asked for the driver's door data plate information. They have also asked for the valve cover data tag numbers. This is a number matching AMX and the following information is from the door plate and the valve cover tag. Door Plate date: 1. "Body R019005. 2. Model 6839-7. 3. Trim 831A 4. Paint 00. 5. F07964C The rivets on the door tag make the letters hard to read. The "F" could be an "E" and the "C" could be a "G." The valve cover tag data is as follows: 103W18. I checked the valve cover tag data and it confirms that the engine is a 390 4 Barrel. The body VIN number and the title VIN number match, and were confirmed by a police officer before I transferred the title into my name.On May-27-17 at 13:54:09 PDT, seller added the following information: The top bidder at $3550 was a young man bidding on the AMX without his parent's permission. His father called and we agreed to cancel his son's bid.
