Vehicle Detail
1966 Buick Riviera GS. This is a two owner car with 15,548original miles. It has a personal log book from the day of purchase. Miles are documented. This car was a proud possession to both of its owners who happened to be good friends. The car has been stored inside all of its life. The interior is remarkable that at 50 years old is flawless. Its a time capsule to drive down the road. The engine compartment is as it would be if you opened the hood in 1966. The 425 Nail Head starts right up and is a little cold blooded but as it warms up is smooth and strong. The ac comes on but needs a charge to circulate properly. The tires were replaced in 2010. All the lights and gauges are working properly. The left resonator has been replaced with exhaust pipe. The right on is there but has a rattle at times. We were to believe it was original paint . I wasn't sure so I had a friend look at it. He confirmed that it has been repainted but noted that it was done correctly and disassembled when done. The boxes in the trunk contain the original parts that they were replaced with. I am listing this vehicle for a good friend that is no longer able to do so him self. Feel free to ask any questions and I will answer all honestly to the best of my ability. Thank you for looking and have a great day. On May-12-17 at 09:15:42 PDT, seller added the following information: I have had some inquiries about the left valve cover not being marked correctly and the exhaust bolts not being correct. I went through the log and found where had the valves ground and installed a new cam in 1971 at 9077 miles. We did verify the engine number is the same as the vin tag. I also found a note that he removed the clutches out of the rear differential because it was chattering and he did not want to break anything. Found the protect-o-plate. I have included pictures of his log. Thank you.On May-12-17 at 09:25:27 PDT, seller added the following information: The carburetor was changed in 1970 with a replacement Quadra jet. He felt the original carb was a fire hazard.
