Vehicle Detail
This is a very nice, higher mileage 2003 Mercedes SL500 in Silver with silver interior. I have owned this car for over 4 years and have driven it approximately 6000 miles. It is a beautiful running and handling auto. The bulk of the miles were put on this SL on Interstate 10 from Kerrville to San Antonio, Texas. I purchased this car from a local physicians estate. The previous Owner purchased it from Mercedes Benz of Boerne, Texas. This is where most of the documentation that I have originated from. It has been well maintained. It has been garage kept and covered. I have all of the maintainance records since I purchased it along with those of the previous owner. I have recently replaced the engine compartment battery and had the oil changed with the synthetic as specified. The tires were purchased at Discount tire and have approximately 10k miles on them. I believe this is an upgraded SL with heated and ventilated seats, seats have a massage feature. The wheels are AMG chrome, navigation and parktronic, keyless go system. The A/C blows cold. I have all the original manuals and 2 working keys. This car is very clean inside and out. There is normal blemishes of the paint on front nose of the car from highway driving, but nothing large. I pulled a carfax when I purchased the car, it was clean of any wrecks. It has been in No accidents under my ownership. It is currently licensed and inspected in the State Of Texas. The Navigation system is working, the TEXAS disc is badly scratched. All of the disc are in the folder. The top is fine working order. There is a "BRAKE" light on the display that is now on. Please look at the photo showing this. I took it to a local Mercedes mechanic to diagnose. It is probably the hydraulic pump not maintaining pressure properly. Despite the dash light, the car stops wonderfully. It has proper fluid levels and the brake pads are 50% + on the front and 70% on the rear. I had an estimate of $2100 with new part or $1400 with remanufactured. I was told there was a recall on these pumps at one time. If you are in the Kerrville area, the car is available for inspection. It is a wonderful road worthy car if purchaser wishes to drive it home instead of shipping. I am able to help coordinate shipping if this becomes necessary. This is an auction with No reserve price besides the initial auction starting price. Shipping costs will be at the expense of the purchaser. Please check pricing prior to bidding.
