1965 mustang fastback that has been one family owned since new. This car was built in California and spent all of its life in the salt free upstate of South Carolina. This car was pulled from a dry storage last week where it has sat since 1995. The gentleman that I bought the car from had gotten it from his grandmother as his first car. Time has passed and his desire to fix the car did too. This car has been beat and banged through the years but is not rusty at all. The only rust that I have seen is on the front fenders (both have been replaced through the years from another car). The frame rails, lower qaurters, rockers, and even the floor pans are clean. The drivers side rear floor pan has one weak spot but over all the floors are still nice. The passenger qaurter skin has a pretty good amount of damage from a crash in the past, I would recommend replacing this qaurter skin. The pass front fender will need a patch on the lower corner. The original Vins are all in place, and the door tag is still there. All of the interior is there, it comes with 2 new door panels and new red carpet (not installed). Also included but not installed, is the original 289 2 barrel engine with power steering. The original 3 speed manual transmission was replaced with a C4 automatic transmission early in its life. This car needs a complete restoration, but it is a very nice starter car over the rusty ones that are left. Not pictured but included, are a new front valance, a new single bowl master cylinder, a useable front grill assembly and headlight bucket setup. The car will come with the aftermarket cowl hood or a useable oem hood, whichever you choose. Clean clear title in hand from the grandson of the original owner, dated 12-15-1994. This is an old car that needs restored, it's not perfect but it's a nice start. I'm open to show the car in person if you are close. I can assist in shipping the car as well.
