Vehicle Detail

1972 Penton Six-Day 125cc in excellent condition. This is one for the collectors as I'm selling this bike from my private collection to use the funds to put towards my historical preservation drum company 'Walberg and Auge". This bike appears to have very little use. No dents, dings or major scratches anywhere. Previous owner completely went through the bike. Unfortunately I do not have a manifest of what he did but the condition shows that he took very good care of this bike. Runs strong and shifts smoothly through all gears. Engine has lots of compression. Kick starter and shaft has no play. Front and rear brakes work perfectly. No play in any of the wheel bearings. Tires are in good shape. When I received the bike, the suspension was very soft... too soft... so I had the following work done at Berkshire Cycles: - rebuilt front forks - new rear Hagon shocks. (Bikes comes with original shocks) - new shift/kick start shaft seal (they noticed a small leak so they replaced it) - new float bowl gasket (they noticed a small leak so they replaced it) Engine numbers: 7175880 122 1251/6B Frame number: 20856771 All number plates are aluminum. Air box and tank are fiberglass. I only run this bike on fresh 32:1 VP leaded gas with synthetic two-stroke oil only. (Do not use standard pump gas as the ethanol will melt the tank.) I've never taken the bike on any aggressive trails. It only gets ridden in my yard and my smooth dirt road driveway. Bike comes with a binder containing an owners and service manuals, 2 Penton 48th ISDT stickers, 2 Hi-Point stickers and pamphlet, AMA 48th ISDT patch (original, not a remake), Penton Owners Registration Card, Penton Dealer Setup Checklist. Mileage is unknown. No title. Ebay purchase will be considered 'bill of sale'. Only issue: slight paint wear on the left air box cover. (see pics) Bike needs nothing. Ready to ride or showcase in your collection. This is an opportunity to own a classic Penton that set the stage for releasing race-ready dirt bikes and its historical significance of bring the 48th ISDT to America for the first time. All questions welcomed. I can deliver the bike to any location in Massachusetts. Buyer pays shipping. (I can help find a shipping company if needed.) Thank you for checking out this listing.
