Vehicle Detail

Summary: Professionally maintained by Ducati specialist; low mileage; always garaged; beautiful condition; smart upgrades. The ST3 is the final model of the final year of Ducati's iconic Sport Touring (ST) series. If you're looking at buying an ST3 you've probably read the reviews, and they're true - the bike handles like a sportbike in the twisties but is so comfortable you can ride for hours without a break. The fully adjustable handlebar system and the gel seat make the ride easier yet. Tonnes of power, a great riding position and - as you would expect of a Ducati - it looks and sounds gorgeous. The liquid-cooled, three-valve-per-head desmodromic engine (Desmotre) delivers substantially more power than its two-valve Desmodue siblings but without the mechanical complexity and high maintenance costs of the four-valve Desmoquattro engines. Brembo brakes, front and rear, keep that power under control. The care that the bike has been given is apparent in its condition. The bike has always been garaged and professionally serviced (LG Moto Performance in Richmond for the past few years). Service records come with the bike. The bike has never been crashed, dropped, raced or otherwise abused. The two previous owners invested in a series of tasteful and useful upgrades, including: Ducati OEM hard luggage and rack system, with nylon interior bags.ConvertiBars fully adjustable handlebar riser system (RRP $340)FP Racing brake and clutch levers -- fully adjustable ($170)Fuzeblock FZ-1 ($90)Oxford heated grips ($80)RAM mount for smartphone/GPS etc. ($75)FatDuc O2 simulator ($80) to fix the famous surging issues Ducati had with their 06/07 models. I have installed a brand new D.I.D. Super Street ZVMX chain ($180) and Superlite front and rear sprockets ($90).Michelin touring tires are around 80%. The paint is in beautiful condition, with a few scratches and nicks as to be expected from 22,000+ miles. The plastics have two small stress cracks in the usual areas (see photos with arrows), which I had intended to repair but never got round to it. The black paint on the brake and clutch reservoir caps has bubbled (see photo), and there is a superficial scratch on the upper fairing (see photo) which should buff out. Bike comes with all three original ignition keys (two black, plus the all-important red key), code card, multiple keys for the hard luggage (and even a spare lock barrel), original toolkit, factory Ducati shackle-lock and all the manuals. Clean title on hand, in my name, with CA registration until November 2017. There are no outstanding liens or other funky stuff. I'm selling the bike as my wife and I have just had a baby, but I'll be sad to see this other baby leave my garage. Buyer to arrange shipping/pickup but I'm happy to coordinate at my end.
