Vehicle Detail
BIKE IS LOCATED IN CHARLOTTE, NC. THERE IS NO TITLE FOR THE BIKE. 2668 ORIGINAL MILES!!! I found this bike on a farm and purchased from original owner/farmer. He bought it new and used it for checking fence lines mostly. He removed all the lighting it came with, side covers, battery and the airbox at a later date. He did not keep any of the lighting, battery or side covers, but all the wiring is there and un-molested. He did refit a headlight from an earlier Suzuki (very rare square bottom version) at a later date also. I do have the original airbox, filter and tube but it is missing the top. Bike does not come with a battery. https://youtu.be/ZLh9MHTnYFA Copy and paste for idle video https://youtu.be/OIV3oPZG4rg Copy and paste for revving video It was running and riding when I bought it, but the carb would not take full throttle. The farmer said he cleaned it out good a few weeks prior before he decided to sell. I got it home, rebuilt carb and discovered he forgot to replace the jet setter o-ring. I replaced the Jet Setter O-Ring, Bowl Gasket and Mounting Flange O-Ring...using OEM Suzuki Parts. Installed a fuel filter between petcock and carb. I adjusted the float and set carb to factory settings. I bled the oil pump and adjusted it also to factory settings, it was not off at all, just needed the cable tightened up a hair. I also replaced the Oil Tank Cap with an OEM Suzuki Cap. Farmer installed a new petcock also. Bike starts easily. You have to hold the choke lever down while you crank it.....for a small guy like me...this is a little difficult, but it works and the farmer said he always started it this way. After warming up, she idles and runs good. (SEE VIDEO). Tachometer is not working, but does bounce, so I'm sure a new cable would fix this. Small ding in gas tank and very small piece of rear passenger fender missing. Front fender may be a replacement? Inside of tank is pretty clean for the age, no junk coming out of petcock. I'm not a dirt bike guy, or a 2 stroke guy, so it may run better at initial start-up with a more experienced mechanic. I just warm it up by giving it some throttle, until it idles, then it runs good. I'm a foreign car guy, Alfa Romeo, Fiat and some Moto Guzzi experience. Clutch, brakes, throttle all working properly. All the turn signal controls and lighting controls are there. Tires are dry but do hold air, front is an IRC Trials, rear is a Metzler Moto Cross. I would replace rear before any street use. Chain could stand to be adjusted also, it has about 1.5" of play, but may be ok. I have never attempted to adjust one before and did not want to get it too tight, as this is a common error as I understand, especially on dirt bikes. I am selling to fund another project I am more interested in and familiar with. This is a pretty fun machine though, maybe I will get a dirt bike in my future, but for now, I'm sticking with street bikes. I have tried to make a very extensive listing. I am a 100% positive user for over 15 years. I expect the same level of professionalism from prospective buyers. Buyer is responsible for all shipping arrangements. I can of course be here to help load the bike for transport. OK, here is all the stuff I have to state for the brilliance of the world. IF YOU HAVE ZERO OR LESS THAN 100 FEEDBACK, YOU MUST CONTACT ME BEFORE BIDDING, IF NOT, YOUR BID WILL BE CANCELED, NO EXCEPTIONS!!!! PAYMENT IS DUE WITHIN 7 DAYS OF AUCTION END. BIKE MUST BE PICKED UP WITHIN 14 DAYS OF AUCTION END. THERE WILL BE A $25/DAY STORAGE FEE FOR EACH DAY THERE AFTER. Thanks and good luck.
