1978 Honda CB

Relisting due to bogus high bidder. Auction is for a 1978 Honda CB 550-4 K model. It is a beautiful gold metallic repaint with a 4 into 1 tuned exhaust. The bike starts , runs and shifts thru all gears very well as normal. All lights and turn signals function as intended but it will need a new battery. When cold, it starts very easily with the choke on. (The choke works as intended but the cable threads are broken going into the bracket). After warm up, it idles like a kitten. When I took it for a ride, there was no hesitation or missing thru any of the 5 gears, rather just a purr from the exhaust. There are No dents or damage to the tank or fenders. The seat appears to have been recovered at some point as it does not say Honda on the back but it is near perfect and similar to what I believe was original. Inside foam is pliable and not hard for its age. The chrome is nice but it does have small pitting which is not seen till you are on top ( within a foot ) of the bike. Tires appear good and useable. It comes with the original tool kit and owners manual , located in the correct location. ALSO, there is a NEW Dyna-S model electronic ignition in the box, as well as some carb gaskets and the ORIGINAL hand grips. There is also a Plexiglass fairing and all the mounting hardware ( it goes on and off in 5 minutes). With a little TLC and cleaning, it'll look almost new.
