Everyone should have a Red, Corvette, Convertible sometime in their life. Here is your chance to own your dream. 1996 was the last year of the C-4 Corvette, which was offered in an anniversary model and the special Grand Sport edition. The Grand Sport was limited to 1,000 production run. A special Lt-4 5.7 liter, small block motor producing 330hp, with 6 speed was available for the Grand Sport and an option for that year. Not many of these are available. This one has the LT-4 and 6 speed, making it a rare Corvette. I owned a 1959 Red Corvette Convertible for almost 40 years, and after selling it could not live without another one. So I bought this one. There is nothing like driving on the open road with the wind and smells of the earth refreshing your soul. It floods you with good memories with the rumble of a great American V-8 singing its siren song. Sorry, but, its just so great to do. Here's my reason for selling this fine Corvette. I am over 75 years old and have had some physical problems that are limiting use of it. This car is met to be driven. It is a life time Florida Corvette and is in excellent condition. It has been maintained to a grand degree. It has always been driven properly and to my knowledge, never tracked or raced. I am a lifetime SCCA timer and judge and know how to treat and appreciate a fine car. Just a little history, The Corvette was ordered and owned by the major Corvette dealer in central Florida. The owner was a very good friend of John Greenwood. John Greenwood was a major figure in Corvette history. He build and raced the C-3 and C-4 Corvettes and made a major statement in the aerodynamics of the these Corvettes. I was told that the owner had John Greewood install this kit as a favor to him. It looks beautiful. Recent updates include a new optispark, water pump and new wheels and tires. The wheels are black A mods , front 9 1/2inch, and rear 11 inch. The Mickey Thompsons are front 275-35-17, rear 315-35-17, Mobil one , filters etc., The things that I am aware of that need repair, are a sticking hand brake light and an erratic Tack This Corvette is in Naples Florida and is always in a garage , covered. Comes with a factory cover and much documentation. Pick up only. No warranties expressed or implied. Sold as is. Lastly, This Corvette has some paint chips, but, is in really nice condition.
