Vehicle Detail
1-Owner Original 1973 Buick Lesabre 16,986 original miles Unrestored and original! Here is your chance to own a piece of classic American history. They don't make them like they used to. Imposing chrome bumpers, a burbling V8 engine, and the plushest of interiors. This Lesabre is a true time capsule from a different era. Sold new in August of 1973 in Clinton, Iowa, this vehicle spent most of it's life tucked away in a garage and then later a storage unit. The original owner was extremely fastidious and only let the Buick out on the nicest days. As gas prices rose and his driving demands increased, the Buick was tucked away into a storage unit and driven a few times each year. Declining health is leading to the sale of the Buick. The exterior of the Buick is painted in Midnight Green. The paint is believed to be original. There may be instances of prior repair on the quarter panels. A recent polish and wax brought out a deep shine and reflection. There are some rock chips on the front of the hood. The bottom of the fenders and quarter panels have some minor surface rust from rock chips. Despite the minor patina in spots, you can be prepared for people on the street to stop, stare, and reminisce about it's beauty. The chrome bumpers and trim are in very nice shape without any dents or oxidation. They have been lightly polished to bring back that mirror finish. The rubber moldings do reveal the car's age in certain spots. The window moldings are cracked and torn in a few spots. More importantly the windows and glass are original featuring the original factory stamping. There are no cracks, pitting, or chips. Open the door and your senses will immediately take you back to 1973. The green wool carpet is in excellent condition with no tears or rips. The original vinyl floors mats shown in the photos will be included with the purchase. The Green Cloth seats almost appear as if they have never been sat in. There is almost no wear and the original foam and springs are as comfortable as the day they were produced. Being in storage protected the dashboard and interior from cracking or fading. The original headliner is in excellent shape and does not droop or sag in any spots. The same goes for the door panels. The intricate detailing of the wood trim has been preserved. The manual windows properly roll up and down and the manual locks engage without issue. Firing up the the original Buick 455 V8 will instantly put a smile on your face. A few pumps of the throttle followed by a short crank of the starter and this classic American V8 settles into a smooth idle. The transmission shifts between the gears smoothly and without any jerks or slips. The Buick sits on steel wheels and Bias-Ply tires. The tires appear to be the original tires that came with the vehicle. The original owner has no recollection of replacing them. As a result, I would not recommend driving this vehicle for extended distances or at speed until these are replaced. They are an important part of the car's originality, so we are leaving it up to the next owner to replace. Despite being garaged and stored, the Midwest has left its mark in a few spots. The undercarriage does have surface rust. We have done our best to document this through pictures. Being surface rust, the overall integrity of the vehicle is in excellent condition. A thorough cleaning and undercoating would easily remedy this, but I will leave that up to the next owner. At some point during the cars life, the interior of the trunk was coated/repainted. The Buick is currently located in Portland, Oregon, with a relative of the original owner. The vehicle will come with the original title and a notarized document from the original owner stating the accuracy of the miles. It is up to the buyer to arrange the transportation vender of choosing. We will be happy to meet the shipper to hand off the vehicle. Winning bidder is expected to provide a $1000 deposit via PayPal within 24 hours. Full payment is required before vehicle will be released. Please let us know what questions you have. The vehicle is being listed at No Reserve. We are excited for the next owner to continue preserving this true classic. 60 Photos Available Here: https://flic.kr/s/aHskXsasMU Bid quickly!
