Vehicle Detail
This is a really cool vintage Honda motorcycle. It is a 1965 Honda S65 (Sport 65). It is an all original barn find that had been sitting in the back of an old panel van in a barn right here in New Jersey untouched since the 1980's. It has its original key, New Jersey vintage title, and inspection sticker from 1982! Although not pictured, I do have the battery cover and it will be on the bike at the time of sale. This bike is a complete, and original survivor. This motorcycle starts right up on the first kick, and runs and rides and shifts through the gears nicely down the road. Everything works! Including the headlight, taillight/brake light, neutral shift light, and the speedometer! The clutch works, and front and rear brakes work well. The bike doesn't leak any fluids. Of course, the bike wasn't running when I got it. Here is a list of all of the hours of work I have spent on it, and all of the new parts. The bike has brand new Michelin Gazelle 2.5x17" tires, brand new tubes, I cleaned and rebuilt the carburetor with new OEM parts, cleaned and rebuilt the fuel petcock with new OEM parts, cleaned and flushed the gas tank multiple times with safe rust remover until no rust came out, added a magnetic in line fuel filter just in case, cleaned and adjusted the points, cleaned the flywheel, cleaned and lubricated all original cables and moving parts, cleaned and lubricated the chain, I went through all of the wiring, it has a brand new 6 volt OEM battery, brand new NOS OEM air filter, new fuel lines, new NGK spark plug, changed the oil three times, and probably more I'm forgetting. I couldn't decide whether or not to do a full restoration, as some people prefer original patina so I decided to keep the original patina for the next person to decide. I have spent a lot of time and money on this bike, and they are getting harder to find in this condition. Although it runs and rides well, and everything works, it is a 52 year old motorcycle so this will be considered an AS IS transaction with no warranties or guaranties implied or expressed. That said, this is a great bike and I will be sad to see it go. This bike is a true survivor, don't miss out!
