Vehicle Detail

An amazing luxury car with even more amazing utility! Fold out the third-row seats and transport seven passengers. Fold back the second row seats, and have more load capacity than a lot of pickup trucks. Do it in style with the handling of a luxury sedan, and feel like royalty with the star on the hood. The car has been kept in a garage and maintained meticulously. Loaded with options. Air conditioner blows cold, heater blows hot, the engine delivers 230 hp, and I frequently get 25 mpg on the highway, better than many newer cars of this size. The car has the amazing Goodyear TripleTread tires installed for optimal performance in the snow. Body has some rust repairs, but that will be true of virtually any E-class from these model years and should be manageable for many years to come. I also added a backup camera. You'll get the original factory floor mats as well as some amazing custom floor mats I had made (the beige color seemed inadvisable, so I left these untouched and had black ones made.) One problem requires attention: One of the metal cups holding the suspension coil spring to the car broke off from corrosion. This is a known issue with this model of car. I drove the car home slowly after this happened and was able to drive, but this needs to be fixed. Someone good at welding could do it on his own, or a bodyshop could do it. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT THE BUYER FIXES THIS BEFORE DRIVING THE CAR AND CANNOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES, TO THE CAR OR OTHERWISE, IF THE CAR IS DRIVEN WITH A DISCONNECTED SUSPENSION COIL SPRING. That being said, the car stands surprisingly straight and tall and drives surprisingly well for having only one suspension spring active in the front. No guarantees from me that it fits, but this part https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-mercedes-benz-parts/front-upper-spring-support-priced-each/2106260119/?gclid=CIjloMGP29ICFYU2aQodFLAFcg seems to be the right replacement part, and at $48 is quite affordable. Install it correctly, and the problem should be solved for $50. Other issues are minor: The car will frequently show an error about the oil level sensor (not the important oil pressure sensor) on start. There is a manual dipstick, so if you check oil from time to time manually you don't really need the level sensor. The car doesn't lose or consume appreciable amounts of oil--I need to fill up about half a quart every six months or so, the normal consumption from driving. This sensor fault could also likely be fixed by cleaning the sensor contacts or replacing the sensor. The car will also from time to time store a fault code for secondary air injection, but this is an emission system that runs only for a few seconds on cold start, doesn't affect performance, and the car passed emissions without trouble.
