Up for auction with NO RESERVE is a 1997 Jeep Wrangler Sahara 4.0 with automatic transmission and 143k miles. This Jeep is equipped with hard doors w/ roll up glass windows and a factory LSD in the rear. The NP231 transfer case functions properly. The engine is strong and has NO knocks including cold starts. The automatic transmission shifts properly with NO hard/late shifts or slips. This Jeep has obviously been modified and been off-road. I'm going to try my hand at some basic poetry about the Jeep right now..... "It has squeaks... It has leaks... It has scratches and it even creaks... ITS A JEEP". I'm no Shakespeare, but what can I say. This Jeep has a 4'' suspension lift and is on 35" General Grabber tires w/ matching spare. I just mounted a new LED bar and 2 LED pods in front of the mirrors. The front bumper also had a LED bar built into it. These will all need to be wired up. The front bumper was painted without a rust preventative and has some surface rust that can be removed with light sanding. I've been daily driving this Jeep everyday for the last week. It runs strong with no major mechanical issues, but will need a SYE kit to get rid of vibrations during acceleration. I can even help get this done for you at your cost (parts cost plus reasonable labor for my mechanic). The interior is in good condition minus the drivers seat being torn from sliding in and out of the seat. I just did a tune up including new sparks plugs, spark plus wires, and distributer cap/rotor. The radiator/coolant is also new. The vehicle did NOT overheat. I replaced the radiator as a preventative measure because the old radiator plastic end-tanks looked like they were on their last legs. I just replaced the exhaust manifold with a OE manifold with flex-pipes to prevent the exhaust manifold from cracking like most factory manifolds do. The vehicle does NOT have any warning lights on such as the Check Engine Light or SRS light. The soft top is made by Best Top. It is not in perfect condition, but is not horrible either. You can drive in the rain or go mudding without you getting wet/dirty. New soft tops (Rough Country) are $200 on eBay. I have a clean title in hand, ready for the new owner. If you are a California buyer, I will smog the vehicle for you but need 24-48 hour notice to do so. I welcome all bidders to view/test drive the Jeep in person before bidding if you'd like to do so. The Jeep is located in Escondido 92029 for viewing/pick up. The Jeep can be driven away. Shipping cost is the responsibility of the new owner and is NOT included in the price. I have access to a trailer and can deliver the vehicle up to 150 miles from my location at NO CHARGE to the buyer after cleared payment has been made. The vehicle is sold as-is. The clear coat/paint on the front end has faded (typical issue on early TJ's). The vehicle has scratching on the sides that don't show on the first pictures. I took closer pictures that shows them.
