Vehicle Detail

This is a 1964 Chrysler New Yorker in excellent low mile condition of 43,900 original miles. The first item to note is the body has no rust and only some surface rust due to atmospheric moister. There is one photo showing the undercoating falling off of the trunk floor but is peeling off and the metal is perfect above it. The body is very very straight in all places. The only dent I can find appears to be on the rear bumper over the left side of the license plate but it is minor. The stainless steel and chrome trim appears to have no dents that I have found. Even the trim at the bottom of the panels is in remarkable condition. Study the pictures closely for the trim and body and you will be quite impressed. The paint does have some mild blotchy spots but they appear to be simply oxidation. This car has all original paint with just some minor chips here and there. I will try to buff it out and re post some better pictures for you. The grille is also quite impressive to view with no damage. Look closely at those grille pictures and notice the trim on the fenders it is still perfect. The interior is also immaculate with no cracks in the dash pad and a pristine instrument panel. The seats and door panels are also perfect. The carpet is also representing the same condition. The car is equipped with heater, air conditioning, power windows, power seat, wipers and they all work very well. The only that is not working was the windshield spray pump. The engine is also complete, running very nice and pulls quite strong with a smooth shifting push button style transmission. Most Chryslers of this era used the push button type shift buttons for the automatic transmission. It is also sealed fairly well and not leaking much if any. I had a friend come over to help me last fall and he is a long time Chrysler man who takes great pride in the older cars and he installed a new master cylinder, new fuel pump, changed some fluids and rebuilt the carburetor so that it starts and runs really well now. If you look closely at the engine pics you will see all of the little parts from the factory are there and still nicely intact. The wiring is also very well preserved under the hood. We had tried to pump up the a/c and it did work for a short while but then it leaked out again in a few days. That is rather normal for A/C systems to do that when they reach this age due to needing the seals replaced. This car is an incredible time capsule in nearly showroom condition. With some small paint repair or whole new paint the car would be elegant and stunning in shiny black again. I do have a reserve set at $3500 so that you will know what it is up front. The title is also clear.I am also available and ready to have a third party to come over and view and inspect the car if you are far away. I am in West Denver and you could call a classic car dealer nearby to have them come by to see it if necessary. Email me at dxhemenway@gmail.com for this if needed. This car will also be sold as is and with no warranty. Shipping, if necessary, would have to be your responsibility but I am open to having an auto transport company come by to pick up if needed but you would have to make those arrangements.Thank you.
