I mistakenly typed transmission while creating the listing. The engine is JD coded, which indicates it was mated to an automatic powerglide transmission. The car is clearly a 4 speed manual per the cowl tag coding. The JD coded engine was assembled 06/04/1964, it has the triangle cast (1964 date coded) "power pack" style heads. The car was assembled around the 2nd week of January 1964.
