1972 VW WESTFALIA CAMPMOBILE *LOW RESERVE*You are looking at a great Volkswagen Westfalia Camper bus in great shape. This is a good example of a clean bus both inside and outside, in great cosmetic and running condition, with all era correct accessories and never been modified. Westfalias are getting harder to find in this condition, this is your chance to own a piece of history and travel back to the 70's.I spent one year to find a bus like this and finally found it recently, sadly a monetary emergency forces me to sell.I will try to describe the bus to the best of my knowledge and of course some details may be forgotten but questions are always welcomed.Clean California title and registration paid until December 2017. EXTERIOR:Great exterior condition, bus painted years ago in same orange color as when it came out of the factory. All doors aligned, opens and closes freely. One key for everything. Straight body, all windows present. Quality top canvas replaced recently and in new condition with no tears or rips.New rear hatch and side door rubber. New tires with 2000 miles on them.All exterior lights in working order.The only rust at the bus is at back side of the rain gutters.Nice aluminum "Deutschland" bumper sign. INTERIOR: Clean and complete westfalia original interior.Jump seat and rear seat in awesome condition, not sure if vinyl is original from factory or reupholstered but it looks to be correct era mustard color vinyl. Cabinet with sink, utility table and icebox in great condition.Closet and ceiling shelf cabinet, dinette tableBrand new bamboo design curtains all around.Rust free flooring.Pop up top canvas in like new condition, upper and front child's cot.All interior lights in working order.All windows roll up and down freely.Clean dashboard, no tears. ENGINE AND ELECTRICAL: 1700 cc engine in great running condition, tune up made 700 miles ago back in July 2014.Dual carburetor system.Original service record from Volkswagen of Santa Monica until 90,000 miles.You can cruise at 70 mph at highway with no issues.All electrical in great working order including driving lights, turn signals,speedometer, gas gauge, interior lights and horn.Good suspension and straight steering wheel.Believed to have 159,000 original miles. In general this bus is a blast to drive, getting many thumbs up.
