Vehicle Detail
NICELY RESTORED 1971 OLDS CUTLASS SUPREME HOLIDAY COUPE W/455 CID ENGINE HOLLEY 4 BARRELL & 3 SPEED TRANSMISSION. CAR WAS BUILT IN THE ARLINGTON TEXAS PLANT ACCORDING TO THE VIN. CAR WAS RESTORED TO MATCH THE CELBRATED "442" MODEL WHICH WAS BASED ON THE CUTLASS SUPREME IN 1971. OWNER STOPPED ON THE RESTORE AND WE HAVE ALL THE ORIGINAL CUTLASS SUPREME EMBLEMS AND NEW 442 EMBLEMS THAT BUYER CAN INSTALL. CAR ALSO HAS A WING FOR THE TRUNK PAINTED TO MATCH THE SILER ON THE HOOD THAT HAS NEVER BEEN INSTALLED. CAR HAS FACTORY AIR, AFTERMARKET STEREO, FACTORY WHEELS, NEW TIRES, FROM THE 1980'S, SEAT BELTS, INTERIOR IS IN EXCELENT SHAPE OTHER THAN THE SHIFT BEZEL NEEDS REPLACED. CAR HAD BEEN SITTING FOR THE LAST 10 YEARS WHEN I AQUIRED IT. THE ENGINE STARTS RIGHT UP AND RUNS VERY STRONG.THIS CAR WILL MOVE DOWN THE ROAD. I DO NOT KNOW HOW MUCH WAS DONE TO THE ENGINE OR TRANSMISSION BUT WAS TOLD IT WAS ALL REBUILT DURING THE RESTORATION. THERE ARE A FEW DUST? SPECS IN THE PAINT ON THE REAR TRUNK LID, THE OTHER PAINT LOOKS GREAT, THERE IS A SMALL LEAK I WOULD ASSUME IS FROM THE REAR MAIN AFTER YOU DRIVE THE CAR AND LEAVE IT SIT, AIR CONDITIONING NEEDS RECHARGED AND UPDATED. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE LET ME KNOW AND I WILL ANSWER THEM TO THE BEST OF MY ABILITY. CAR IS KEPT IN A HEATED GARAGE AND IS AVAILABLE FOR INSPECTION.On Dec-19-16 at 19:10:39 PST, seller added the following information: An Ebay member let me know the 442 was not based on the Cutlass Supreme hardtop in 1971. I am sorry for any misconception my description may have as that was my understanding. On Dec-24-16 at 09:11:08 PST, seller added the following information: I have had several members ask about the drips under the car. These are not very bad leaks. I added pictures of where I beleive these drips are coming from. One is engine oil (not much at all and not from the rear main.) and it looks like there is a small leak at the fuel pump. The other is transmission fluid and it looks like it is coming from the modulator on the side of the transmission. It has a B&M chrome Tranny Pan on it...It may be the gasket for this pan also. I will try to get some good pictures of the underneath of the car posted today. I also added pictures of the valve covers and engine. there are not any other leaks or drips on this car. My wife and I drive it every summer and have driven it across Ohio. I would not think twice about driving this car as far as you wanted...Other than fuel economy! this is a fun car to drive with massive amount of power!! Happy Bidding!!On Dec-24-16 at 10:09:31 PST, seller added the following information: I have reached my limit on pictures. I took a couple of the bottom of the car and can email if you are interested.
