This is “no reserve” auction for a meticulously maintained 2005 Honda CR-V in "good" to "very good" condition for its age. This car is being sold "as-is" with no warranty but it starts easily, shifts smoothly and runs great.This is a 4WD EX-L with a factory leather interior, heated seats, glass sunroof and 6 disk audio system. This is a two owner car as I purchased it as a Honda Certified Preowned vehicle in 2009 with 43K on the odometer. It has had the oil changed religiously with full-synthetic every 5,000 miles and the ATF fluid has been drained & refilled every 35K. It uses less than a quart of oil between changes. I've owned many Hondas over the years and have been pleased with all of them, but this CR-V has been truly exceptional as the most trouble-free vehicle I have ever owned. It has FAR exceeded my expectations for both comfort and durability in all the time I've had it. The Good:- - All recalls are 100% up to date having been completed by the local Honda dealership - Body is in great condition for its age, with no damage and good paint. (In early November of 2012 I hit a small deer at very low speed. Damage was negligible requiring only a driver's front fender and a new bumper skin, both of which were replaced using OEM Honda parts. The Acura dealer who repaired the vehicle matched the paint perfectly.) - - two properly coded factory keys included - - heavy duty WeatherTech tail-gate liner included - A/C blows ice cold - Complete 4 wheel bake job performed recently at 221K - "Like new" condition, all four matching Pirelli P4 Four Season Plus tires with over 9/32 of tread remaining Known problems:- - The airbag light comes on occasionally but soon goes back out on its own. I've had it into the local Dealer a couple of different times for this, but they haven't been able to reproduce the problem while the car was in their shop. It is probable that this is a faulty seat belt buckle sensor which is a "known issue" on this generation of CR-Vs. If that is correct, then most or all of the cost to repair would be covered under Honda’s lifetime seatbelt warranty.- - The passenger’s front CV joint makes a "clunking" noise on hard turns and occasionally causes a vibration when starting off from a complete stand-still. I'm addressing this by including the correct after-market replacement part to do this repair but the Buyer will be responsible for installing it. (This is a pretty easy job for any competent shade tree mechanic -- check out YouTube for step-by-step guidance.)- - The exhaust system will likely need attention soon as I've started to notice more engine noise under hard acceleration. The noise isn't noticeable at normal cruising speeds though. Terms of sale: $500 down is required within 24 hours of Auction ending via PayPal. The remaining balance is due within 7 days paid by cash or Cashier's check, or via PayPal + 3% to cover their fees. The vehicle must be picked up within 14 days of auction close. I will be happy to pick the Buyer up from IND airport, meet you anywhere up to 15 miles from my home, or I will even deliver this car to you at any distance up to 200 miles away from my house for a fee. The cost to deliver will be $0.95 per mile that I need to travel round-trip calculated from my home zip code of 46143.
