This is my Baby for the last 25 years..... "Old Reliable". We've seen a lot of territory together. And as I am almost 67 yrs old it may be time ( we'll see ) to pass it along to the younger generation - and that, in comparison, should be a hella lot of you out there. Always a California bike, I'm the 2nd owner. Got it from Plam BMW in Santa Cruz ( that name will ring bells with the older Airhead set in the Bay Area ). **STAINTUNE STAINLESS EXHAUST SYSTEM, BEAUTIFUL MUSIC** The engine was rebuilt in 2011 by Dave Gardner / Recommend Service, San Francisco. If you know Dave, you know it was done right. He's retired now, but in the day he was Dr. Boxer. It was the $6900 tune up..... ****IT NOW HAS 9040 MILES ON THE REBUILD**** *******NEW CLUTCH AT TIME OF RBUILD**** Nikasil barrels, new cam, timing chain, pistons, heads rebuild by Kibblewhite of Pacifica CA ( another name that the cognisenti will know). The whole enchilada. The gearbox, BTW, was fine no issues. ****CHECK OU THE DRIVING LIGHTS - GIVE 'EM SOMETHING DIFFERENT TO LOOK AT, THAT'S MY STRATEGY**** It all works. It's a beauty. Strong. Reliable (duh...). If you're looking for Classic Airhead, well........ PLEASE NOTE: New front / back Metzler's with maybe 300 miles on 'em.
