What a beautiful Studebaker! This 1948 Studebaker Commander Regal Deluxe convertible was restored years ago and has been preserved well by the previous owners. After a recent mechanical service, we can't find any mechanical issues and have enjoyed driving this beautiful convertible. The car drives great and cruises down the road well. The Inline 6 runs strong and the 3 speed manual shifts easily. All of the brightwork is present and in good condition. We believe the car underwent a frame off restoration at some point but have no documentation to prove that. The Commander Regal Deluxe convertible was introduced in 1947 and was the top of the line vehicle from Studebaker. A relatively small production volume of 1,503 was seen in 1947 and increased in 1948 due to a positive model launch. Our records indicate a total production of 7,982 Regal Deluxe Convertibles were built in 1948. This vehicle is ready to be enjoyed and driven or would present itself well in a collection.
