Vehicle Detail

I have for sale a 1968 Dodge Charger driver/project car. This car left the factory as a F8 Green 383 2-barrel car with a 4-speed transmission. It still has the rebuilt original transmission, 8.75” 3.23 gear sure grip rear end and a recently rebuilt 440 engine. The car is largely finished, but it does have several things that need to be completed. Like most old muscle cars, this car has many good things about it as well as a few issues that should be completed and/or repaired. However, this car is a running and driving car that can be enjoyed and driven while it is being completed. The car has a little accident damage on the driver’s side rear quarter panel that needs to be repaired. As you’ll see in the pics, there is damage behind the left rear wheel. The wheel came off while the car was being driven home from a car show and rolled up under the lower quarter. The car also fell victim to a carburetor fire while at the wrecker yard after being towed there from the wheel mishap. The carburetor fire bubbled the paint on the hood and in the shops haste to get the hood up they did bend the hood a little near the right hood hinge. These areas will need to be repaired and painted. There are also tons of good things about this car. The interior is very nice with newly recovered seats, new carpet, new door panels, new reproduction upper door pads, new reproduction dash plastic, and a new reproduction dash pad. The engine has approximately 500 miles on it and runs good. A little cold natured like any old big block mopar, but once it is warmed up it will do some nasty burnouts! The body of the car is solid and is mostly rust free. Frame rails are super nice, trunk floor looks to be nice and solid and appears to be the original trunk pan, the floor pans are very nice with exception of a few quarter size spots in the right rear floor pan near where a right side rear seat passenger’s feet would be. These spots are pictured at the photobucket site linked in this auction. The trunk floor drop offs also have a few spots of rust. However, considering this car is an original sheet metal car without any replacement panels, it really is a nice solid car. This body and paint work on this car is what I would consider to be driver quality. When completed, this project car will make a very nice car to cruise to town in or hit your local car show. In this auction, I have a couple of YouTube videos linked as well as a Photobucket link that has many many more pics of the car. The car does have a good Oklahoma title. Please, ask all questions prior to bidding. Thank you. There are an additional 250 plus pics of the car at the following link:http://s869.photobucket.com/user/sridenour/library/1968%20Dodge%20Charger%20383%202bbl%204-speedHere are two (2) YouTube videos.https://youtu.be/bq9AbN0Tpe0https://youtu.be/IABQqw6CEY8 PAYMENT INFORMATION: The car is sold as is, no warranty implied or offered. The successful bidder is required to send a $1000 nonrefundable deposit within 24 hours of the end of auction via PayPal (other methods may be used if discussed and agreed upon prior to bidding!). If you are not able or willing to meet these criteria, please do not bid until you have discussed options with me. The balance of the auction is due in full within 7 days of the end of the auction. I prefer PayPal (for the deposit ONLY) and an electronic funds transfer for the balance. I will not accept PayPal for payment of the balance except under special circumstances that must be agreed on prior to bidding. I’ll accept other forms of payment such as certified bank check or cashier’s check for the balance, but all funds must clear my bank prior to release of the car. I would like the car picked up within 30 days of the end of the auction. The buyer is solely responsible for arranging the pickup of the car.ZERO (0) FEEDBACK AND NON-U.S. BIDDERS: If you are a zero (0) feedback bidder or a non-U.S. bidder you MUST contact me before bidding. I will cancel the bid of any zero feedback or non-U.S. bidder that does not contact me prior to bidding. I will require any zero feedback or non-U.S. bidder to provide me with a verifiable physical address and contact information prior to bidding. I realize we were all zero feedback bidders at some point, but unfortunately zero feedback bidders are often also non-paying bidders on automobile auctions. BIDDER CONFIDENCE: I strive for the most transparent auction possible. As a bidder, you can be confident that the vehicle you are bidding on is described to the best of my ability. I am always happy to provide any perspective bidder my contact information if they wish to speak directly with me on the telephone about the vehicle. If within driving distance, a perspective bidder is welcome to come see the car in person prior to bidding. I am happy and willing to take any reasonable actions (i.e. additional pictures, telephone conversation, in-person viewing of car prior to conclusion of the auction, etc.) to give the bidder confidence that the vehicle being auctioned is indeed in my possession, for sale, and has been described as accurately as I am able. I will conduct myself in a professional manner throughout the auction process and I will be a prompt communicator via email, telephone or text message. I will be out of town for a week and a half near the end of November (approximately 11 days). While out of town, I will have very limited access to cell phone coverage. I will communicate the exact dates to the successful bidder and we can plan accordingly for payment of the balance and pickup of the vehicle. Thank you!
