Vehicle Detail
There are Barracuda's then there is this handsome 1969 Barracuda with a 440 V8. Super street car that talks the talk and walks the walk. This car was built by a street rod collector a few years ago. See video. On Oct-18-16 at 21:09:39 PDT, seller added the following information: It's a bone stock 440 4 barrel which would of been rated at 375 HP gross 480 lb torque gross, I'm guessing with the Edlebrock 4 barrel and Hooker headers it would be pushing anywhere from 375 to 400 but never on a dyno to be certain so I can not guarantee the specs. The transmission is 727 torqueflite with 8 3/4 rear end I think the gears are 3:55. The car launches very fast the Hurst shifter and tranny are solid and short shift like butter. It has front disc brakes. It was set up like what a 440 car in 1971 would of had to run and stop. This information was told to me from the guy who built it. The car runs great, very fast. It needs temp and volt gauges. All the heavy lifting is done there is some room for improvements, needs longer speedo cable, steering is a bit sloppy, rear seat upholstery, dome light cover, there is a 2 round rust hole on bottom underneath of passenger rocker, light lens are clear but show age some spider web cracks, tires are good but have weather cracks. Dash is cracked. All glass is very good 4 side windows roll nice it could use some new door rubber, windshield and rear glass have new rubber. The paint is faded to a rather nice looking patina mat finish, thin in places but looks really attractive, has some chips on truck lid, it needs two lug studs replaced on F&R driver side. New fuel tank and Edlebrock 4 barrel, fuel system was all cleaned up nice. As you can see in the video's it idles like a sewing machine starts on first click. No oil leaks. There is no power equipment or AC.There is another video on youtube if you go to my page it's there. Everyone stares at this car and gathers big crowds at the gas station. It's not a shiny brand new restoration or original spec car as it was originally built but this Barracuda has some serious stance and moxie. I think it's unique as heck just as it sits. In my opinion this body style is one of the best ever designed it gives off MOPAR muscle from any angle viewed. On Oct-18-16 at 22:25:44 PDT, seller added the following information: See a very interesting informative show on the 1969 Barracuda on YouTube.
