Vehicle Detail

800x600 Please read the entire description before bidding or asking questions. Additionally, please read my conditions at the bottom. 2000 Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet. Intermediate shaft (IMS) bearing replaced with EPS IMS Bearing Upgrade Kit with forced engine oil feed. Paddle shifters installed on the steering wheel. Sport exhaust. Well documented history. Unbelievable acceleration with only 90,500 Miles and top down cruising enjoyment. It is complete with the very desirable Arctic Silver exterior with black leather interior/cloth top and red calipers. I purchased this vehicle for my daughter in January and she has just been driving it to and from school. She’ll be going off to college soon and will not need a car so I’d like to free up the space since I have too many other cars. It has been completely reliable; she just gets in and drives with no headaches. This car is about as indestructible as they come and there are no oil leaks. You will not likely find a better condition 911 from this generation at a lower price than my buy-it-now price. Factory Option list: Carbon Fiber 3-spoke steering wheel: Replaced with all-leather steering wheel (Original Porsche carbon Fiber steering wheels all cracked within a few years. I have the original steering wheel and it goes with the car) Carbon Fiber Tiptronic selector lever Stainless steel tailpipes Carbon Fiber handbrake lever Seat heating, left Seat heating, right 18" Turbo wheels Tiptronic buttons for steering wheel 8-way electrical seat, left Seat memory, left 8-way electrical seat, right Wheel caps with colored Porsche crest PSM Porsche Stability Management Becker Sound system Wind deflector Litronic (xenon) headlamps DSP Digital Sound Processing 6-disc CD changer Becker Porsche CDC-3 Draped leather front seats Draped leather rear seats Leather dashboard and door panels Mechanical Condition: The car was originally purchased from and maintained by all previous owners at Town Porsche in Englewood, NJ. Their service department will be able to share the car’s service history if you call them. The tires are at about 70% tread depth Front: Continental Sportcontact-2 225 / 40 / R18 Rear: Continental Sportcontact-3 285 / 35 / ZR18 During my ownership, the following work was performed at 89,400 miles. All work is documented in the form of receipts, pictures as well as original parts (in the case of the IMS bearing). - The Intermediate shaft (IMS) bearing was replaced with the EPS IMS Bearing Upgrade Kit with forced engine oil feed. http://europeanpartssolution.com/products/ims-bearing-repair/ . This is a permanent replacement that will never need further attention. The original bearing was a double row and probably didn’t need replacing, but having done so erases all doubts. See pictures for the original double row bearing/flange assembly. - Differential gear oil replaced - Transmission fluid and filter replaced. - Oil and filter replaced - New serpentine belt - Paddle shifters installed on steering wheel. The car can be driven as an automatic or shifted to manual mode to use the paddle shifters only. - Sport exhaust (not too loud, but more growl) Just prior to my purchase the following work was performed: - New front brakes and rotors - Four wheel alignment - Brake fluid flush - New brake pedal switch - New hood struts - New horn Exterior Condition: There is no visible rust on the body. There are some minor dings that are difficult to photograph: a few very small ones on the hood, probably from acorns; a small one below the driver’s mirror and a small one that is out of sight under the right rear quarter panel. They aren’t really noticeable from a few feet away and are really only visible in the right kind of light. A paintless dent removal service should be able to take all of these out rather inexpensively if you are so inclined. Interior Condition: The leather in this car is in excellent condition. The front seats have the normal use wrinkles, but there are no high wear areas. The leather on the rear seats, dashboard and door panels is like new. The convertible top works fast and smooth and the Becker stereo with CD changer works perfectly. The Carrera floor mats are plush and have likely been replaced recently. The heated seats work flawlessly. Overall: The VIN # is listed to pull a carfax. All of the original equipment is present: jack, toolkit, folding windscreen and spare tire. There is also a spare belt. Typically when you buy a 911 from this era you can count on having to do many of these tasks, such as the IMS bearing replacement (a Porsche dealer will charge $5000-$7000 for this job alone), but this car comes with these things completed. I may have overstated some of the cosmetics, as I do not want there to be any surprises and I encourage you to inspect this car before bidding. I am selling this wonderful car with mixed feelings, not only because of the thousands of dollars that have been put into it, but because I love to drive it when I can. Someone will be getting a very nice 911 at the end of this auction! Conditions: -I do not wish to misrepresent this car, so if you have any specific questions after reading the description above, please contact me. Please do not send me an open ended message with simply “Tell me about your car”. -If you would like to inspect this vehicle, the time to so is before bidding. -Please do not contact me to ask that I end the auction early for a ridiculously low price. -Scammers, phony bidders and other unscrupulous types will be dealt with harshly. I am prepared to take legal action against non-paying bidders. -I will block anyone who does not respect the above conditions or contacts me with the intention of trying to circumvent the legitimate bidding process. I don’t mean to sound unfriendly, but over the years I have dealt with just about every kind of dishonest bidder that you can imagine. -Payment: Winning bidder to send a $500 deposit within 2 days of auction close. Do not use PayPal. Any payment method other than cash will need to clear with my bank before possession is taken of vehicle and title. I have been trading on eBay since its inception… almost 18 years, check my feedback and bid with confidence. -Shipping: Shipping, if necessary, is the sole responsibility of the buyer, though I will assist with logistics where I can. I now have a pending offer from a local buyer and I would like to see if I can get my price on eBay before I go for it. I have several thousand more than my reserve price into this car and I believe it is more reliable than the low mileage garage queens that some buyers mistakenly think are somehow better because they weren't driven. In fact, when I was in the market for a 911, I purposely avoided cars that weren't driven and had very low mileage.
