Hard to find 1965 Convertible Coronet Ready to drive and enjoy, here's a gorgeous cruiser that's within striking distance of being a top notch ride. Read on to see how close. Watch the video: 1965 Dodge Coronet on YouTube This car is completely rebuilt mechanically and upgraded for more horsies and better stopping power. We removed the tired 318 motor and stock transmission then replaced them with a rebuilt big block 440 and A727 transmission. Since we added more horsies we upgraded the brakes adding power brakes and a new front disc brake conversion. Cosmetically she has driver quality paint from a restoration done a decade ago. We put a new top on her and a bunch of new chrome. Only around the windows and top are left plus the tail light pot metal. There is one side molding that may need attention. The paint is still very shiny but there is some pitting (see pictures). Overall very pretty from 10 ft. The interior was also done a decade ago however the seats are in really good shape. The carpet is worn and should be replaced. That'll cost you a couple hundred. You'll need a new dash pad too. ABCmoparts has that for $449.
