I bought this 1950 6cyl willys Jeepster in a package of 7 collector cars from a gentlman who liquidated his collection in northern Wisconsin. I am selling this jeepster as I have a twin to it with a frame off restoration and I do not need two of them. This jeepster truly is a rare survivor that rides and drives with a very straight body. The paint is sun faded but shows very well. I pictured the jeepster well and videoed it to show any minor flaws and how nice it has survived. The top looks good and the seats look good. The floor pans are solid and as far as I can see, it is a rust free car. the underside looks good with only normal road wear. The owner I bought it from told me it is a two owner jeepster. The original owner was a owner of a bank in missouri that bought this for promotions and parade advertising (included is a pic of the bank in a parade with this jeepster from the 70's) From my research and the best of what I can tell, this jeepster was born with the rare lightning 6 cyl L-161 limited production engine (approx. 600 area produced) which makes this a truly valuable collector piece. These jeepsters with this rare engine restored are starting to bring well over 30k so here is your chance to own a daily driver thats only going up in value. This would make a great addition to any car show and/or use as a daily driver the way it is and get tons of thumbs up and head turns in parades etc. The jeepster starts right up with no knocks or misses. The clutch and brakes work fine the way they should. The overdrive worked. The top goes up and down with ease and it has side curtains etc as pictured. It also has a boot. The tires are driver quality but not new. The lights are all working. I do not want to overcall it or undercall it, I invite you to come by appointment and inspect the car or hire ebay to do a indpendant inspection for you. The plates, plate toppers, and dash magnets do not go with the sale as they are part of my personal collection. I require a 500 dollar non refundable deposit within 24 hours of auction end.
