Vehicle Detail

I'm selling my 1986 Chevy S10 Blazer. I think it's easily worth $1250; you can find this identical truck going for $25K after it's been restored and customized. Repairs shouldn't be complicated or expensive. I'll consider best offers and trades, also. The photo is of the truck when I bought it a couple of years ago. It looks the same now, but I don't have an easy way to take photos at the moment. It has roughly 138K miles on it. I can go out and get an exact count if you like. I inspected it carefully for rust when I bought it and couldn't find any underneath the vehicle or on the body except for a tiny spot near one of the back wheels. It's barely been driven and kept in a covered garage for the past few years so it should still be 99% rust free. 2.8L V6 TBI engine. Automatic. 4WD. I checked the VIN and it shows no accidents or other issues. It's only been driven 37K miles since 1990. It appears to have a new paint job, or the previous owner took very good care of it. The interior is flawless cosmetically. Here's what you should be aware of: -The s-belt squeals. I had it a new s-belt put on soon after I bought it but it still is squealing. The mechanic and I both think it's the power steering pump mount that is causing the issue so replacing it should fix the problem. You can drive it just fine with the squeal, it's just annoying. -The air conditioning doesn't work but the heater and fan work fine. -The engine overheats if driven at highway speeds for longer than 20 minutes or so, or if driving it for an hour or more on a very hot day. The radiator hose is disconnected so it should just be a matter of screwing it back into place to fix it. -The biggest issue that I was having before the battery died is that the truck would sputter on idle and eventually stall. It is fine as long as you are giving it gas but if you drive it long enough it will start to sputter at red lights until it finally stalls. It will start up again after resting for ten minutes or so. Reading the check engine codes off the truck shows a problem with the EGR valve. I believe that replacing it should fix this problem, and it is a very cheap part. -The radio only works occasionally. I presume there is a loose wire in there somewhere, another easy fix. -I have no idea how to get the tailgate to come down. The hatch will open just fine. -The battery died and the truck has been sitting for about a year in the garage. Assuming it just needs a jump, you'll still have the problem of it stalling so you'll probably have to tow it unless you'd like to make the EGR repair here.
