1972 BMW 2002, 56,458 miles on odometer. I bought this car in April, 2014 in Dallas. Car was originally bought in California and kept by the first owner for 40 years. I have a brief history of the car from the first owner and other documentation from subsequent owners. AS far as I can tell, I am the 4th owner. I have replaced thermostat, water pump, and had the radiator re-cored. It runs extremely cool, even on the hottest days. Starts, runs great, shifts smooth. You can drive this car cross country. Does need to have windshield gasket replaced (see picture), but does not leak. I have the new gasket, just haven't gotten around to having it done. There is also a slight oil leak around the valve cover, probably needs a new gasket. I have not driven it much and it probably dried out. Only other mod to the engine is electronic ignition done by a previous owner. This car does not have A/C ! A previous owner had it re-painted. Original color was Granada that you can see on the inside of the hood. I don't know why they painted it a different color from the original. Inspected and ready to go. I have copies of the invoices for this work. I also have a copy of email sent from first owner to second owner containing the story of how and why the car was acquired and cared for.
