Up for Auction is a 2005 Chevrolet Equinox 4 Door SUV All Wheel Drive Automatic. Please read entire description and view the 24 photographs attached. Feel Free to ask any questions prior to placing a bid. We welcome the opportunity for a professional mechanic or appraiser to come and inspect the vehicle prior to making a bid if you cannot personally come to inspect the vehicle. The bottom line is this: This vehicle needs a new Head Gasket. The Engine makes a tapping/knocking sound. The car overheats because of this and cannot be driven at this time. The Head Gasket previously had been repaired by using a Blue Devil Head Gasket Repair Kit about 4 months ago but this has not permanently fixed the problem with the Head Gasket. Overall, besides the above mentioned repairs that are needed. The Vehicle is in Great Shape. It has been driven daily up until the head gasket issue. It needs to be cleaned, both inside and out. There apparently is a small rust spot located near the back driver side door, however I didn't see this when photographing it, so I'm mentioned it here. The Brakes and the Rotors were recently replaced 2 months ago along with Brand New Tie Rod Tips. The vehicle has been maintained regularly and used on a daily basis prior. The Air Conditioning, CD Player, Radio, Power Windows, door and locks all work. The interior needs to be cleaned but is intact without anything major to report. I did not notice any significant dings or dents on the body. The Major Issue is the head gasket. Please view all of the 24 pictures posted and use the zoom feature. This best describes the condition of the vehicle. The vehicle can not be driven due to the above reasons with the head gasket. It would need to be towed from it's current location which is in Central New Jersey, approximately 45 minutes west of Manhattan, New York City at the Buyers Expense as well as any additional Shipping Charges. This would be a great SUV if you were able to replace the head gasket yourself or were a mechanic. Otherwise, it's a great deal if you own a Parts Store or are interested in the Parts alone.
