Selling my beautiful 6-speed manual "Arena Red" Porsche 911. This color is stunning in person and is what Porsche debuted the 993 Porsche Turbo with using the "Kills bugs fast." poster you may have seen. I am the third owner, the previous owner bought it with 18K on it - currently It has 116K on the clock. If you are looking at one of these 911s (the 996 generation) you will undoubtedly know their weak point is the IMS bearing - even though 1999 was the best year (the bearing was a dual row) this one has been upgraded with a LN Engineering ceramic bearing by the prior owner. Since buying it I've also done a great number of tasteful modifications:"Carrera Lightweight" 18" BBS wheelsOEM Litronic HID Headlight RetrofitSpyder LED Taillight RetrofitHELLA Smoked Side LightsFister D Performance Exhaust (sounds amazing!)"Big Oval" Tequipment Sports Exhaust Tips (these were a $800 option new!)15mm Hubcentric Spacers on Front & RearSmartTOP Convertible ControllerGT3 Center Console Delete ("tall man mod" - original console included)WeatherTech Floor Mats (original carpet mats included)Aluminum PedalsPioneer Bluetooth Media ReceiverJBL GTO 429 Dash SpeakersJBL GTO 509C Door SpeakersJBL Basslink SL SubwooferIn the last year I have owned it - it has been amazingly reliable - I've also done the following maintenance:New Continental DW tires (less than 500 miles ago)New motor mountsNew coil pack in cyl #3 (caused misfire on muggy morning - 5 more coil packs and spark plugs included)Oil change (50 miles ago and ~3000 miles ago)Bumper off radiator cleaning2X - Paint correction (swirl removal) and waxNew "back panel" bellows under the spoilerCar is in wonderful shape with only a few slight imperfections:Key fob does not function - key has no battery - not sure if there is something additionally wrong or not - haven't cared to check.Cruise control light comes on - but won't maintain speed. 996s have a weird circuit design that relies on the resistance of the brake light wiring to know if the brake pedal is depressed or not for cruise to work. Won't work with LEDs installed.Sun visor mirror flap is broken on drivers side. Very common - not worth fixing IMO.Reverse lights do not function and mirror doesn't tilt down when in reverse. Needs new reverse switch which is included and I might install it if I get the chance before it sells. Alarm often won't fully arm because center console plastic hinge is broken on drivers side - extremely common - Porsche sells a kit to fix the hinge with metal for $30 - also included and I'll install if I get the chance. Front seats are in excellent shape - but one cushion in the rear has a bit of staining. A few small nicks here and there in the paint as expected on a 17 year old car.I am only selling it as I have a 6-week old at home and I was devastated the car seat doesn't fit without removing the passenger seat entirely. I want a fun car that I can put a car seat in - so it's up for sale. I'd trade for a 2007-2010 BMW 335i convertible as that is what I am after next - preferably with a manual transmission. I work right near Lambert Airport (STL) and would be happy to pick you up at the airport for an epic drive home. I did the same when I bought it in Atlanta last year. Please don't lowball me with insulting offers - this is an excellent deal on a very sorted car that is amazingly fun to drive - you will not be disappointed.
