Vehicle Detail
I have for sale here is a 1998 Dodge RAM 3500 12 valve turbo diesel dually RWD. It has around 169k and it's barely broken in for this engine. Drivetrain is completely stock. This truck still has stock catalytic converter and stock exhaust. It is fully loaded with leather seats, driver side power seat, digital compass. It has a newer body style, extended cab with 4 doors. There are a few upgrades like extra 90 gallon tank in the bed (it's also a tool box,) spoiler on the roof, CB radio, gauges for transmission temperature, boost level, exhaust temperature, 5th wheel base (I don't have the hitch,) electric brakes for trailer with control inside the cab. It comes with 2 keys, 2 remotes and manual. I have this truck more than three years and have driven it everywhere. I never had any problem and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it to California right now. I have done some very important maintanance on this truck to make it perfect: 1. Upgraded thermostat (stock one is not stable in cold weather) 2. Headlight relay (typical failure) 3. New fuel filter line (small rubber line beneath the filter that will leak and it's hard to replace it) 4. Killer Dowel Pin fixed 5. New rear brake shoes and brake wheel cylinders (less than 10 miles) Transmission shifts excellent. I never had any problem with it. I would recommend to drain the fluid and add new one (I don't like to flush transmission in general.) Tires are very decent. One rear tire is not so good (please look at the picture) but it should be fine driving home the way it is. I have a very good used spare coming with the truck. Rear brakes are absolutely excellent, front brakes might need new pads soon (shouldn't be a problem driving it home either.) Suspenstion is tight. AC was working fine before parked. I checked it the other day and it doesn't blow cold air, might be leaking or might just need a recharge. I had a minor accident that caused some damages to the right side body kit (please check the picture.) To me it's minor and I never got a chance to get it fixed. I barely drove this truck in winter and it spent only one winter up here since I've moved up here three years ago from Virginia. It's a very solid truck. Underneath is very clean, only surface rust that I can find. I took some pictures of the underneath so you can see it yourself. I don't do what I used to do which is hauling cars ( just a tow dolly and a car, never with 5th wheel.) So the truck has been sitting for more than 8 months now. I start it once in a while just to get things warm up. But it's not ideal for the truck so it's better to go to a new home where it can be appreciated more. I absolutely love this truck and it's a real head turner everywhere I go, so selling it is a very serious thing to do for me, please be serious about buying it. I reserve the right to cancel auction early if I change my mind or if it's sold locally before auction end. After auction end, I require a $500 non-refundable security deposit via Paypal, the rest of the payment is due in 7 days. If you have any question, don't hesitate to ask and happy bidding! On Aug-10-16 at 07:15:15 PDT, seller added the following information: I forgot to mention these, but if you know these trucks you've already know. 1. There is some oil leak from the front cover seal. It's a typical leak for this engine, no matter how you're gonna fix it (from what I learned from all the forum websites.) Truck was never low on oil while on the road.2. Rear differential gear ratio is 3.54. This truck was was built to cruise on highway.
