Hello , and Thank you for looking in.. GENERAL INFO : I am selling an unusually new- like Excursion XLT .. I like the excursions extremely well and I have three vehicles like this.. As special as they are, ( the largest ever SUV in the world ) it is not cheap to buy or to run them . This one though has been an exception to that general information from the day I got it from an up- north dealer. This one just needed no repair of any kind, it had no issues or questions anywhere, this all, despite my traveling lots and hauling my heavy speedboat with it.. With the only exception to that of a cracked left rear light cover. I don't know when that had occurred and I got it fixed right away .. I don't know why this very vehicle is acting like a new one like this... but it is.. With the other two that I have been driving for some years , here and there, there was some tweaking or repairing needful such as the air balanced suspensions, or the electronics of the ABS systems. But not with this one. GENERAL CONDITION: I have nothing to report. As far as I can see and perceive it seems in just an excellent condition with no marks or dints neither in the exterior nor in the interior no rust no nothing .. The engine is purring on immediately and there is nothing wrong with the Air conditioning or Heating , the brakes and transmission are smooth and perfect in all angles. The steering is very light ( a special condition with the military style vehicles, it feels too light when you are not used to it ) POWER AND CONSUMPTION : This is a 10 cylinder power horse and that you feel immediately when you tow stuff .. It does all the work gracefully there are no warning lights coming on .. The gas mileage is remarkably low in its own category: I get 13- 15 MPG on the highway, - I don't know why such difference from one clocking to the other - which is odd as the 8 cylinder ones seems to manage less economy .. I also found odd that it doesn't do any less when loaded and towing my boat. EXPECTANCY : Based on my experience with the sister vehicles I have for some years now one would expect it to run for another 150 thousand miles with no significant problems or repairs on it. for someone who appreciates to own and drive a truly high end, military style tough SUV , the excursion and expedition are the ones to buy . As far as the excursion, this 2005 is the last built model in the world.. They are of course hard to find to buy for that reason.. The 10 cylinder ones are the smoothest running most fun vehicle for an SUV enthusiast , in my experience. REASON FOR SELLING : My kids left for college and I ended up with too many SUVs. In sometimes a crazy notion,I want to keep all of them but, not only this would be silly but also have hard time to find enclosed sites for keeping then in proper shape. This one is the first of the two to go. If you are like me wanting to own a most special SUV .. I doubt you could find a better or cheaper sold one. I wish you best of luck in all things .
