Vehicle Detail

Custom Lincoln Mark V, Black Leather, Moonroof 1979 Mark V, 65k, 400 V8, rare black leather interior. Every option available for the Mark V is on this car, including power quarter windows, dual power split bench seats, "miles to empty" digital readout, digital "Electronic" am/fm 8-track stereo, tilt steering wheel, power antenna, power trunk release and the tinted glass moonroof with sliding privacy shade ($1080 option in 1979). Recent work includes water pump, high output fan, a/c compressor, alternator, tuneup including installation of high output MSD distributor and plug wires. Engine is smooth and quiet and the garage floor is always dry when taking it out. Starts quickly, accelerates and handles well for a large car and has four wheel disc brakes for quick stops. The hydraulic suspension has two separate pumps, three trunk mounted, isolated and equally charged batteries and four independent switches, one for each wheel. The four switches raise and lower each wheel independently. I can send video clips on request. At normal height it's got tight handling, I will lower it just enough for the open highway to give it a "driving on rails" feel, taking turns at 75 like it's a sporty two seater.Texas car until recently, it's never seen winter and was repainted in 2005. The seats have seams that are beginning to open up, I was going to have them reupholstered and the carpet is fairly new. Custom stereo under dash with DVD screen on passenger dash. All the custom work has been professionally done, much invested.I reserve the right to end the auction early as the Lincoln is for sale locally and I'm open to reasonable buy it now offers as well. I can assist with shipping in the USA or internationally if necessary, cost of shipping to paid by buyer. If you need it I can recommend a door to door auto shipper, reliable and have great rates.Cool Classic Custom Lincoln!Any questions feel free to email or call 914-two two four-3230 On Jul-29-16 at 15:22:13 PDT, seller added the following information: Short movie clips showing the Lincoln in action On Jul-30-16 at 07:50:53 PDT, seller added the following information: I've been getting many questions about how the Lincoln was used. This Mark V was NEVER used at "jumping car rallies" or rap videos or anything like you see in "West Coast Low Rider Culture". The car was always respected, never abused, and it is tight with no rattles, shimmies or shakes. It's a custom car with nicely set up air suspension that can be brought back to stock with minimal effort, nothing on the chassis was modified. Incidentally, the cost of the equipment and professional installation of the hydraulics cost the previous owner over $8000, and he was a dad with a couple of kids so he was not about go about abusing this classic he had invested so much in. He had it for over ten years; including the new paint, rebuilding the motor and assorted repairs and improvements over the years he had nearly $20k into it. The modern stereo system alone with the DVD screen on the dash cost about half of what the current bid is. The factory digital "Electronic" AM/FM 8-track player with the red LED readout is in the dash and still does work, including the digital display. The modern stereo is mounted underneath the dashboard. So, suffice to say this Lincoln seems to be selling for what you'd pay for a beater that needs paint, body repair, and engine work etc, etc. Cruise works, a/c is cold, and she's happy riding just a bit lower than stock at 75 on the highway, like a nimble, precise nearly 20 foot long sportscar. This is a professionally done custom that feels tight on the road and runs like a dream. Anyway, good luck bidding and I hope she finds a good home.
