Vehicle Detail
2003 BMW 540i M Sport Sapphire Black Metallic / Black Leather Interior A very rare, tasteful combination. I am including a Compete Brembo Brake Kit with this vehicle (uninstalled): (a $700 Value) 4 brand new Brembo Rotors and also 4 Brand new Brembo/ Bosch Pads and Sensors. 2003 Was the Last Year they made this model. The E39 series is still my favorite body style of all the bmw 5's. I have also read on bimmer forums of this engine being good for 300000 miles! Buy with confidence, most of these cars on eBay have a questionable history. Mine is well documented. Well maintained. I will include records of all the work done on the vehicle since i owned it: 4/2014: New Oil Pan, Gasket, and Housing $5779/2014: New Water Pump and seals $6239/2014: New Ignition Coil and Premium Bosch Spark Plugs $6906/2015: New Alternator, Expansion Tank cap, and Premium Bosch Battery $14307/15: New Brake Hose $152 I have always used synthetic oil and premium gasoline. I am a Non-Smoker. Car runs very well. Never driven hard. Reliable. No known rust. This is a California car so we do not have to deal with harsh winters most other states get. I purchased this vehicle from shelly BMW dealer for $13000 here in California just 3 years ago, and the previous owners were on lease so I believe maintenance was done at the dealership. Here are the known flaws: 1. The paint has some flaws. The car was parked near a beach for a few weeks so the front bumper and front part of hood got hit with sand. This can be seen in the photos. 2. There is also a crack in the front bumper. The car was never in an accident, the damage happened on the lip of a curb driving at 2 mph. Subsequent car washes has caused the crack to grow. I also noticed a small 2 inch crack in the rear bumper and minor small scratches in various places on the car. Nothing too bad. I tried to take photos to highlight the flaws. 3. I also just discovered the auxiliary fan does not come on when the ac is turned on. I am moving so I do not have time to investigate, it could be a simple connection, a fuse, or worst case would require a new aux fan which I read is very easy to install, and costs about $150 here on ebay. Ac blows super cold otherwise. There is also an 1/8 inch Aux input cable to connect an iphone android or ipod.
