I've owned this car for close to 5 years, but it’s time to let the next enthusiast enjoy this E28. I’ve driven this car ~16,500 miles and it has averaged 20.5 miles per gallon. I've commuted to work, taken on multiple road trips, the car has been excellent. Cylinders 1 - 6 = 140, 139, 141, 142, 139, 137 Not so great:Rust spot on outside of left rear door, next to the driver door. Quoted from $650 to $920 to repair. Various scratches & small dings.The side skirts have small cracks and paint chips, particularly near the rear wheelsRight rear door handle has some fadingSmall oil leak. Creates two small spots on the garage floor every few weeksTires are approximately half wornCruise control is intermittentWindow tint is worn, particularly the rear windowDriver floor mat is a bit wornVarious cracks on the dash – see close up pics in the link MileagePrevious owner estimated the mileage at 210,000 when the US cluster was replaced. At the time of my purchase, the Euro cluster read 354,020 km, or 219,977 miles.The cluster currently reads 380,675km, or ~236,541 miles. This is an average of just under 5,000 miles per year since my ownership. I drive it about once a week, mileage will gradually increase. If you’re looking for a nice, Euro-converted E28, this may be the car for you.
