First the bad stuff...Rusty, poorly painted, and some of the welding on the body is amateurish. Filler/Bondo along the usual rust spots on the left rear quarter panel and front fenders. The wiper motor cover looks like it was made from Play-doh. Small tears in the non-original front seats (heated, for some reason). No top. No doors. No rear heater. No plastic roll bar pieces, so I padded them. Now the good stuff....solid frame, great engine, smooth transmission. One minor seal leak (one small drip a week). Most of the gauges work. Easy body work to replace the rust spots. Great looking truck (if you like the mustard/black combination). A blast to drive. As with any FJ-40, everyone wants to stop and talk about it. Always starts. 4WD works perfectly. Clutch, brakes, and radiator have been professionally repaired/replaced. Great daily driver for a lake house or cabin. I reupholstered and repainted the jump seats. Text me at 608-220-3453 for any photos or information. Truck is for sale locally.
