Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on 2015 Ford Focus ST, in stunning Performance Blue. As most of the auto magazines report this is an affordable compact supercar and I've come to know it as such after owning it 11 months. It was carefully, adult driven for only 5800 miles by myself only and nobody has ever sat in the back seat. The build quality is excellent; there are no interior rattles, buzzes or defects. The exterior panel fit is excellent and there are no scratches dings or swirl marks; I only hand wash it or power wash it in the winter. It was not driven through a car wash. The only reason I'm selling it is that I need a larger daily car for my profession. I purposely ordered my ST at the end of the 2015 production, built in July 2015, and one of the last produced in Performance Blue. Somehow, Ford moved on to a darker, Kona Blue, but the 2015 model year was the only year of the improved redesigned ST available in Performance Blue. Personally, I feel it is one of the best ST colors ever. Mine is fully optioned with the 402A package (Leather Recaro Seats, 6-way power on the driver's side, SYNC, dual automatic climate control, ambient lighting, heated steering wheel and front seats, bi-xenon headlamps, power moon roof, etc) and in perfect, showroom condition inside and out as the pictures reveal. I spent 17 years at Ford in Powertrain early in my professional career and always wanted an ST since they were announced in 2012. The 2015 redesign was perfect, better styling in and out, the exceptional 2.0L ecoboost and 6-speed Getrag combo, but the improved suspension and steering really differentiate from the 2013 and 2014 STs. Out of all the performance cars I've owned and driven this has to be one of the most satisfying drives. Being a former automotive engineer and auto enthusiast, I also upgraded my ST with carefully chosen modifications that enhanced the appearance, drive ability, and performance, but did not impact reliability, or fuel economy. I've spent $3335 on full Stage 1 upgrades and they are the following: - $700, Cobb Accessport tuner with all the Cobb Stage 1 tunes, plus I bought the Cobb Accessport tunes from FSWerks that I'm currently running and love them. I have the 93 octane tune in, but there are tunes in the tuner for 89, and 91 octane fuels. The performance is outstanding and the boost modulation and torque improvement are out of this world. I regularly can pull with a 5.0 Mustang on the highway. There is no detonation or stumble, both the Cobb and FSWerks tunes are loaded on the handheld which will go with the ST to the new owner. FSWerks dynojet reported 272 whp and 335 wtq with the 93 octane tune which is about 285 and 380 engine horsepower as rated by the automotive companies. You can really feel this difference and the chassis and brakes have no trouble with the extra engine performance. Additionally, the stock tune is on the handheld and can be easily reflashed in the car if you need to take it to the dealer for service.- Cobb short throw shifter plate (30% shift throw reduction) air filter and lower engine mount (not installed yet and in the box) - included above- $1735, OEM Goodyear 234/40-18 tires mounted and balanced on Ford Racing Gloss Black ST wheels from Tire rack. This set has only 875 miles on them and look unbelievable with the Performance Blue paint. Since I added the wheels, I get a lot of comments and thumbs up from other drivers and even people walking by the car. Note: The stock Rado grey wheels and Pirelli Pzero Nero All Season tires are available for separate purchase by the winning bidder. There are just under 5000 miles on this set. They are not included in this auction. - $900, Dealer installed Ford Racing/Borla performance cat back. This exhaust is perfect. Great sound and performance improvement, but no drone while cruising on the highway. This is an outstanding compact sports car, that does everything. It can hold 5 people, a lot of cargo, but is also a blast to drive on the back roads in the Pittsburgh South Hills. I changed the oil at 4400 miles with full synthetic. You won't find a nicer 2015 Focus ST that you can buy with confidence. Please ask any questions you need to put confidence in your bid and we will get back to you with answers within a few hours.
