This truck has been in my family since 1970. My dad bought it from the daughter of the original owner in 1970. The original owner gave it to his daughter but she never used it and supposedly never did a title change before my dad bought it. My dad gave it to me for my 16th birthday and I've had it since. It is in great shape for it's age. It is basically an original truck with a few minor exceptions. I converted the voltage to 12 V to make it easier to start and I believe one of the bumpers is from a 1938 pickup. This truck runs and drives. I just drove it to a car show last weekend. The brakes have recently been gone through. The front glass and rear glass is in good shape. But both door windows need to be replaced. In addition the wood in the back of the bed needs to be replaced. The paint is from the 1980s and needs to be redone along with some minor bodywork. There is some minor rust on the bottom door panels (see pics). New tires on period correct artillery wheels that I just put on. No fiberglass! All steel including the floor board and battery cover. All lights work and gauges except fuel gauge (still working on it). I just replaced the battery box, fluid in the running gear, spark plugs and wires, and lined the fuel tank. The front windshield pushes out but doesn't crank out (crank needs some work). Issues: Flat spot on flywheel - will grind occasionallyUse - it needs to be used!
