This 1955 Chevy series 2 pick up truck was owned locally here in northeast Iowa and was purchased in 1988 by a local farmer who wanted to resurrect the truck and use around his farm. He finally got to doing the project this last year and went through the truck mechanically doing a tune up, new master cylinder, etc. He drove the truck around his farm the way you see it as he started to work on the body. He got the truck running in my opinion very good. As the video shows I drove this 3600 Chevy truck 50 mph with no problems like steering, brakes (rears hooked up only but stop the truck good.) etc. It runs great with no knocks or misses. The clutch feels good. the headlights and tailight works. The tires hold air and are servicable but not new. When the previous owner started the body, he rebuilt the floors and rockers (see pics) and started to take care of rust issues here and there on the body (amateur job in my opinion) and painted the truck in primer. The glass is cracked as pictured on some f the windows (see pics) the windows do go up and down with help. He put new exhaust on the truck. This truck in my opinion is set up as a driver that could be taken to the next level with new tires, new or cleaned out original gas tank (running off a aux tank now), glass replaced and finish front brakes and body issues addressed with new paint etc. Let the pictures and video describe the truck for what it is in that it is not a show truck but a great entry level inexpensive fun truck to drive. as everybody has their own opinion on what a unrestored truck should be, I invite you to come by appointment to check it out or hire ebay to do a independant inspection for you before bidding. If no contact is made within 24 hours, we reserve the right to relist the vehicle, sell the vehicle to the next highest bidder, or sell it otherwise. please remember you are bidding on a used vehicle and must understand that there will be normal wear and tear on the vehicle. We do our best to show you every fault we can find but somethings things may go unseen to us. A 20 dollar per a day storage fee will be added to the final price if the vehicle is not picked up within 30 days of the auction end as that is what it cost me to store the vehicles. please contact me if you need more than 30 days prior to bidding.
