Vehicle Detail
1949 Chevrolet Styleline 2 door sedan. Owned it since college, just have too many projects and would like to sell to fund other projects I have more interest in.Drivetrain; Rebuilt 1955 full oil pressure 235 with solid lifters. Langdon stovebolt trans adaptor to a TH350C lockup three speed trans. Rebuilt factory radiator. Nova 8.5 10 bolt rear. Nova driveshaft. New Tanks INC. fuel tank and fuel lines. Complete new wiring harness with 12 volt conversion. GM alternator. 12v starter. Lokar floor shifter.Brakes; Nova rear brakes, 1954 front drums. Converted to firewall mount master cylinder. Everything in brakes new, every line, hose, cylinder, etc.Chassis; Lowered roughly 4'' with blocks and cut coils. Some play in front tie rods. I did some crappy work 10 years ago when I was younger on the rear. Should have new shock mounts made, they are pretty embarrassing.Body; Very little rust. Floors and trunk are the worst. Some small holes here and there in the body, nothing major at all. Interior is original but pretty shot. Front seat isn't bad.Has a leaking rear wheel seal, carb is gunked up from sitting but it does run. Car needs a going over, and cosmetic work. If you fix the poorly done rear suspension, and the other issues I mentioned, you could drive it. I had it on the road maybe 5 years ago. Has a temporary exhaust I quick rigged up out of scrap. Had dual exhaust I removed.Just had it running and moving this weekend. Done my best to describe it, but it's a nearly 70 year old car, don't expect it to be a Honda you can just hop in and drive. If you have any questions PLEASE contact me before bidding. I will gladly answer any questions you have. I don't want you to bid on it, and get something you are not expecting.
