THE LAST OF IT'S KIND! The last year for Pontiac. The last year for the Firebird Trans Am. This car is so collectable, that THEY EVEN NAMED IT "COLLECTORS EDITION"! ***1 OWNER! CLEAN CARFAX AND AUTO CHECK! I am selling this incredible Trans Am for a friend of mine. I would normally never sell a car on Ebay that I don't own, but this rare and special Trans Am is of the quality my many repeat customers have become accustomed to. I have been selling special cars on Ebay for 17 years with100% positive feedback! I am extremely proud to offer this Rare Bird. Collector Car check list: 1 Lady owner who put only 2,700 miles on it since new. Always garaged kept, under cover and never abused. A good collector car should be rare(1 of 549 6 speeds with Ram Air) out of only 2,000 built. It should be of automotive historical significance. Certainly this T.A. meets those requirements. It should be heavily optioned. OVER $7,000 IN OPTIONS! Even a HURST SHIFTER. Still the standard for banging gears. An "orphan" nameplate helps collectability. There are no more Pontiacs. It should have excellent appreciation potential. At this price, how can you possibly be wrong about using this car as part of your 401K or as a serious investment? I think the bottom of depreciation has been met in this particular case. You can drive this car WITHOUT hurting your investment. 2,700 miles lets you have fun without killing the value. Convertibles have always been the most desired version of a model. A proper car has been well kept. THIS CAR HAS LITERALLY NEVER BEEN IN THE RAIN! Only because the car has lived in the northern hemisphere, does it have a little surface crust on the sway bar, rear axle and control arms. A little rub down with a scotch pad would be in order on those spots. but as you can see in the pictures, she is really clean underneath. You can Google "2002 Collector's Edition," and find a lot of info that is hard to describe here. You can easily find production numbers to verify that it truly is 1 of 549. Finally, a fine collectible would be ORIGINAL TOP TO BOTTOM. Sure modifieds have a big place in the collector world, but the original car is always more desired and more valuable Although this car has been babied, it does have a few marks on it Luckily nothing that stands out. There are a few scratches on the right front lower bumper cover. Caught it on something backing out of the garage. If you look closely, you can see it in the pictures, but in person, you would have to be looking hard to notice it. It is not in need of refinishing because it is not in an obvious place. As are the several scratches that I found only when the car was on the lift. under the passenger side. see pics. Again, these scratches are not visible during a walk around and do not deter from the beauty of this Trans Am. They come out with a little rubbing compound. All in all, I could not suggest a better investment car. As well as going up in value in the years to come, this car makes a superior driver. Insurance is very fair because of it's age. It is always welcomed at car shows. People just love Trans Am's! The black special edition cars from 1977 to 81, are monsters now. I watched two break $100,000 at this springs Arizona auctions.
