Vehicle Detail

1967 Chevrolet Camaro Sport Coupe - 327 Auto - 1 family owner car This car has been in my wife's family since new - it was her mother's car - then passed down to my wife. It was originally a 6 cyl. 2 spd auto but now has a 327 and 3 spd auto. The engine has an edelbrock performer cam, intake & 600 cfm carb. It's a column shift split bench which is quite unique and looks much nicer than you would expect - it looks like 2 bucket seats but joined with a section in the middle. We installed new white with black stripe vinyl upholstery on both the front and back seats and it looks great. Body and frame wise it's solid - over the years it has had steel rear quarter half panels and replacement fiberglass front fenders, the steel in the trunk redone, floor sections under the rear seat replaced, and the frame repaired by Legendary Motor Car (before they were famous) plus frame connectors added by them. Mechanically it's sound - everything it needed over the years has been done including new gas tank, rad, front and rear springs & control arms, front disc brake kit - the transmission was replaced years ago but might be getting tired - in cold weather it slips a bit in reverse until the car warms up but it has done that for a few years and doesn't seem to cause any problems - my mechanic tells me not to worry about it (the car is not winter driven - but I do start and move it around indoors monthly). The body and paint was done over 10 years ago and has held up well - not perfect - but pretty good for a 50 year old car. A new vinyl roof was also installed then. It's not a show car - nor is it priced like one - but it is in pretty amazing shape for a 50 year old driver. The car was professionally appraised at $21,000 in 2007 and has had very little use since then. The car had a safety inspection last week and will be sold with a safety certificate (required to transfer title in Ontario).
