1966 CHEVROLET CORVETTE COUPE 100 PHOTOS - 327/350 - 4spd Thanks for checking out our 1966 Corvette Coupe, equipped with a 327 built to 350 specs and 4spd manual. This car sounds amazing, very fun to drive, fresh engine, if you want something that is a thrill to drive, especially when you want to kick the ponies in and hammer it down this Corvette really goes!!! This car was originally bought by a good friend of mine back in 2000, he used to use it every day for about 6-7 years as a daily driver. That is why he bought it, to drive and enjoy like it was meant to be, he didn't want a restored car, but one he could actually drive. So when he set out to look for one, he wanted a driver, nothing restored, and he landed on this nice little '66. This Vette would make a great driver for somebody now as well. The engine has a fresh rebuild, he spec and parts sheet I included in auction, and transmission has been gone through. For me, the 1963-67 C2 coupe is the cats meow, I am not an open cockpit type of guy, I like enclosed cars, and that goes for Corvettes, Mustangs, Camaros, Cudas, I think they just look better, especially the swoop fastback roofline, nothing more beautiful then a C2 coupe. I'm a race nut as well, and love seeing these cars on the track, so I like the strength of a closed car. Anyways, this car is in good shape a driver that you can enjoy and restore as you go, or just leave it and enjoy it. It is price right, with a low reserve. If you are interested in a buy it now price options, 503-910-2085, Thanks, Jason The condition of the body is pretty good. It has never been restored, has been painted at least once, but many years ago, I am guessing in the early 80's. It does hold a shine to it, but you will see in the pictures there are many small chips and small scratches that have been touched up. It has some typical body waviness and hairline spider cracking in areas from typical age. If you decide to paint the car one day, you can take care of general body work and such that it will need, but for the most part structurally it is in great shape. The nose headlights forward has been repaired and may have been replaced long ago from what I can see inside the fenders, looks like it has been repaired long ago not sure what happen. Overall it will need to be repainted to make it back into a show car but you can take it to any show or local cruise-ins and have a great time. Headlights do work, but the drivers side needs to be helped a little bit to open at times. The glass is in good shape all the way around, the front windshield has been replaced before as well. The top corner of the drivers side the window gasket does seep a little in the rain, or when being washed. Car needs some minor sorting but overall in very good shape. Inside the door jams look decent, doors hang nicely, panel gap is good with the doors. The drivers side of the front of hood needs adjusted, it sits up a little bit in the corner. Overall structurally this Vette is in good shape, no rust on the frame, no damage on the floors, see pictures underneath. Interior is in nice condition all done in black, believe it might have been blue originally. The data and vin plate are under the passenger side of dash as they should be and are unaltered and original. Windows roll up and down nicely, doors open and close good. All the keys work in ignition and door locks. Gauges are all working, cigarette lighter, radio, dome lights all work. Inside it is very clean and comfortable, and a hoot to drive. Dash area is bright work is in nice shape, lens are clear and in nice shape. Horn works as well. I wouldn't really be concerned with doing any interior work in it, overall it is very nice for its age. As mentioned before, engine has been freshly rebuilt. It is a 1967 275hp HC block in it, engine part number on the back also confirms it is 1967 block, I forgot picture of it here is the part number 3903352. Engine runs very good, starts right up, and sounds great, lots of power, just fun to drive, with lots of power, see rebuilt spec sheet for what was done to it, I believe now internally it is a 350ci. The transmission was rebuilt as well clutch feels great, not chatter nice and tight shift pattern. This is one you can take out and drive and enjoy. The brakes are in good shape, stops nice and straight. Wheels are reproduction correct 1966 Chevrolet Corvette wheels in very nice condition. Tires are Michelin P205-70-15 all the way arond with 70% tread on them. The exhaust is in good shape, but both mufflers in the corners have a hole in each one. The undercarriage is in good shape, look at the pictures, unrestored, frame is in good shape. The spare tire cover is there, but there is no spare currently for it. The License plate that is on does not go with it, just put it on for show, this is what it would have had on it from the original dealer here in Oregon, when you went on a test drive, thought it would be fun to show it with the Corvette.
