Up for auction is my 1975 Honda CB400F Super Sport. It’s time to move it along to make room for other projects. It has just over 42,800 miles. I am the second owner. I bought it last year with the intent to re-live my youth! The 1975 CB400F was my first street bike when I was 16 in 1977. Turns out you can’t buy back your youth. I bought this from a very caring older gentleman who took really good care of it. After I purchased it, I replaced lots of stuff with NOS parts. The list of things I did is below. The older guy before me had higher bars and cables on it. I replaced the bars with NOS CB400F bars and cables. Also a new right control throttle assembly. The starter button fell apart just after I got it. Old age. I put on new tires (Bridgestone BT-45), new tubes, new rim strips, new rear shocks, new chain and both sprockets, new front brake caliper and pads, H4 headlight conversion, new cam chain and both tensioners, adjusted valves, new plugs, new carb to air box boots, new air filter, new fuel petcock, new AGM battery, new tool box lid, new Mac slip on muffler (stock one included in sale. has some small rust holes on bottom see pic), new bar end mirror (stock ones included in sale), New generator cover gasket, and I changed oil and filter. I think that’s it but I’m sure I am forgetting something. There was a small crack in the right side cover (red plastic, not engine) and was repaired by the previous owner. It is a beautiful well preserved bike that runs and rides great. I think the fact that it was ridden regularly helped. and it was always in a climate controlled garage. The tank is clean inside. I have clear title in my name. If you know these bikes then you known this is the first year and most desirable of the CB400Fs. Bike and title will not leave my possession until check clears. If bike is left with me more than 30 days, a $10/day storage fee will be charged.
