We ended up with the truck in a trade deal, truck came from Texas. Fully custom truck, every inch of it was restored at some point, but there are a few blemishes. This truck gets more attention when on the road than most other cars we ever drove from our inventory.Truck was professionally built by; Jim Simpkins Performance engines, with 400 C.I.D. small block, crank, heads and rods. Cleaned and Blueprinted, magnaufluxed complete assembly. Bore to .030=4.155 diameter, hone with torque plates (moly-finish. Deck block was brought to positive .010. Competition valve job, magnaflux, grind and set. The heads were milled to 68cc's install bronze valve guide liners, machine valve seats for intake 2.020 and exhaust 1.600, replace rocker arms studs with competition screw in studs. Ported and polished both heads, and installed a set of stainless steel valves. Reconditioned and magna flux 8 rods, fit pins and press 8 piston (TRW flat-top .030). Magnaflux, balance and grind crankshaft to stroke of 3.760, crankshaft rod bearings .010 and main bearings .010, install competition model 292 camshaft as well. The list can go on and on.
