Vehicle Detail
1966 Mustang Convertible. Has a 5.0 V-8 from a newer mustang (1983?) and a T-5 5 speed transmission. Odometer shows 19K miles, but could be 119K or 219K. Clear title. This is not an original California car, but correct year California plates are registered through the Year Of Manufacture (YOM) program and will stay with the car if it is to be registered in California. Replaced all the suspension and steering components and the steering was professionally aligned. Brakes are all new and updated with front disc and correct master cylinder for disc brakes. Tires are 5 years old with less than 2000 miles on them. Clutch is new. Old clutch linkage was replaced with clutch cable setup. Engine has a newer Edelbrock 600 carb with electric choke, one wire alternator, new breaker points type distributer, new (professionally installed dual exhaust, and starts up with no problems. Entire wiring harness has been replaced with updated 18 circuit harness from American Autowire. Driveshaft had a damaged yoke replaced and was professionally balanced. This car can be a daily driver. Windshield was replaced. Convertible top was replaced but needs straightening. Convertible top motor does not work properly and is removed (will be included with the car). Most of the interior components (carpeting, trim, etc) have been replaced. The seats are still original. Updated radio is from USA 66 that looks original but has connections for cd changer or ipod. As you can see from the photos, the body still needs a lot of work done, but it is basically straight. Purchased the car 7 years ago with the intention of restoring it. Since then, we have acquired a 51 Ford from my late father in law and have decided to put all our money into that car.On Jun-04-16 at 21:41:10 PDT, seller added the following information: Due to receiving a few questions about it, the VIN number is 96T08T24****. This was originally a 6 cylinder car.
