I have up for sale a 1985 Honda Goldwing Aspencade GL1200 in good running condition. The mileage is about 34,000 miles and I am the second owner having been riding it for about 4 years. I am selling as I don't have time to ride anymore and am tired of this taking up space in my garage. Everything works on the bike including air ride suspension and compressor and original stereo cassette radio. Recent upgrades are the following:1) New front and rear Metzeler touring tires last year (less than 1,500 miles on these).2) New gel battery last year.3) Upgraded GL1500 rear end including wheel, hub and drive. This is to remedy a bearing issue in some GL1200s.4) New coils, stator and timing belt at 18,000 miles by previous owner.5) Many of the lights have been upgraded to LED. It fires right up, runs and drives. I have been running Seafoam in it as I only start and ride it once every few months. It does have some throttle hesitancy at certain speeds due to not being ridden often enough but improves with running. It is certainly drivable but may need a good carburetor cleaning. Note that I have priced the bike assuming that you will want to work on the carburetors to get this running at 100% - a tear down and rebuild costs about $500 for the four carbs at a Goldwing specialty shop. All of the plastic and paint are original and in good condition with only minor scratches and chips associated with age. I understand from the original owner that this bike sat in a garage for most of it's life. I have put about half the mileage on it and have owned it for about 4 years. This is your chance to get a nice full-dresser touring bike for a low price. It is ready to ride and I wouldn't hesitate to take it on a cross-country tour today.
